The other day I was reading Zimo’s blog and came across this post.
After reading it I decided to do a little research and find a local news article about the findings. I found this article from the Seattle Times talking about the discovery.

While cruising across Echo’s Blog I found a post about National Geographic highlighting the Top 10 Whitewater Rafting.
It looks like the Middle Fork of the Salmon made #3! That’s excellent considering out of the 10, only two of them are in the United States.

What are you doing tonight? If you don’t have any plans, why not hang out and watch whitewater movies for a couple hours?
Event: Home Movie Night
Date: 6 Jan 10, Wednesday
Time: 7:00 pm
Location: Cascade Outfitters
Idaho Whitewater Association’s annual Home Movie Night is coming up on Wednesday, January 6 at Cascade Outfitters/Maravia. This is always a fun event, but we need YOUR help to make it a success! Please consider submitting some footage or slides to share with your fellow boaters. Old stuff, new stuff, wild to mild, action or scenery….its ALL GOOD! We really don’t have any rules, other than good taste (and that’s always debatable), but prefer something in the 5 to 15 minute range. Or not. Preferred media is a DVD, but we’ll try to have a VHS available this year.
Meeting will start at 7:00 pm at Cascade Outfitters / Maravia.
604 East 45th Street
Garden City, Idaho 83702
Cascade Outfitters will also be passing out 15% Off coupons to all who attend. This coupon is good for anything in stock and can be used through January 31st, 2010.
Come join us!
