4.0 out of 5 stars Nice little tool.

Tool clips on keychain or beltloop. Also fits nice in pocket. I like to keep one at work and in the car. Many uses. Letter opener for one. A nice little gift idea.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great tool

Wonderful tool and what you can expect with a Gerber purchase. Has a well built feel with operation of locking mechanism. Have owned for a year and have the carabineer clip come off twice but as long as it is found it slips right back into place. Knife and other tools are sturdy and sharp. The best part about this tool is the bottle opener. It will open any foreign or domestic beer bottle with ease. Get one!

Safety Saturday

Now is the time to plan on going up to Banks this weekend

to support the Idaho Whitewater Association’s

Safety Saturday event on the Payette River.

10 am to 3 pm

The Idaho Whitewater Association will be holding its annual Safety Saturday on August 15th on the Main Payette River from 10am to 3pm. There will be lessons on safety and rescue techniques that all whitewater boaters should know.  You can practice flipping a raft and throwing rescue ropes. Boats will be on display rigged for safe boating. Expert whitewater boaters will be on hand to answer questions. All equipment will be provided or you can use your own. A free safety whistle will be given to everyone who participates.

The event will be in Banks at the launching point for the popular Main Payette River. A raffle will be held to raise money to build a permanent bathroom at the Cabarton Launch site. The prize is a Tomcat Inflatable Kayak from AIRE. The drawing for the raffle will be at the end of the day. You do not have to be present to win. Come and learn about the only organization working specifically for non-motorized whitewater boaters. The event is free and open to the public.

Call Howard Miller at 860-0380 for more details.

Watershed Drybag Review – Your Souce for Top Quality Raft Equipment

Happy Friday!

One of our customers sent us an email that I though I’d share with everyone.

“I just purchased three watershed dry bags (Colorado size). The first day on the lower Salmon I flipped a very overloaded 16 foot Maravia. Because it was so heavy with gear it took us about an hour to flip it back upright. I was pleased but not surprised that our clothing and sleeping bags remained perfectly dry even though they were literally underwater all that time.

Drink Holders for your Raft – Top Quality Rafts, Inflatable Kayaks, and River Equipment

For so long there were was never an option as to how you can safely secure your beverage of choice while rafting. You can always try fate by putting it next to you and if the rapid were to take the drink, it wasn’t meant to be.

That method doesn’t seem to be the most economical, or eco-friendly I might add.

Finally there are more than one option!
